One Month!

One month...it can be a lot of things, the time you have to lose weight before an event, how long before something comes due, or before maybe a little something called THE DAYTONA 500!  Count the day's down one month from today we're going green at daytona baby! I can't wait!

So..NASCAR please hurry your month up and come back.

I think that sums up every NASCAR fan's thoughts at this point..come back nascar

Is it NASCAR time yet?!?!

Today I was looking at the background picture on my laptop, which is me, emilee, and Ben trout (our Bristol Motor Speedway buddy :) ) and in the background I see Jeff Byrd, and the quote underneath him which states "Exceed Expectations".  I felt inspired by Jeff today, and it made me so excited and ready for NASCAR and Bristol in March that I couldn't stand it (yes EK I started planning our excitement today!)  This NASCAR season will surely exceed our expectations, but moreover, I want to exceed my own this year, and go and do things with NASCAR I only dreamed about.  So with that, and some words of wisdom from Jeff Byrd, go out and "Exceed Expectations" not only for yourself, but this sport we all love NASCAR :)

we're almost there! and the twitter buzz!

Hi friends! Sorry the blogs are slow coming ek and I are crazy at work, and I sleep all the time it seems haha! But moving on, its almost daytona time almost a month! So excited! We want to know who you think will take the title this year, will it be a upfront driver like harivck or johnson or someone like jamie mac ? You tell us, all I know is this little southern girl is estatic!

Next, last week jeff gluck released some data from nascar saying most fans are between 40-61 roughly with a median age around 51. He said we needed more younger fans and some other stuff, but what I took out of that was that he's wrong. Sorry jeff but I'm pretty sure you're wrong. Last year when ek and I went to bristol we tailgated with a 88 year old man and a 50 old as well as some other middle aged folks. But there were tons of people around our age (21-23) younger and older, and all partying hard and supporting their drivers. It shouldn't matter nascars median fan age, but that we are all fans, and that we are. Nascar fans are hardcore, reguardless of age ;-)

Wrapping up 2010!

This is my recap of 2010! Here we GOOOOO! Ok I first have to Thank the Beautiful Lindsay Justice! Thank you for being my Soul Sister and Best Friend.... Girlfriend you mean the world to me! Ok lets start of with March, first Bristol Race ever.... it was AMAZING! I got to see my favorite Driver win his 50th race (yay JJ) also this is where my friendship with LJ really started turning into a sisterhood! also I thought she hated me bc I was so loud and excited lol so moving on to August WOW WOW Bristol again Night Race! let me back it up for just a second WE met Kasey Kahne at food city where Lindsay was on tv and I modeled crackers...you would just have to have been there lol also we met Scott Perrine! Next would have been the Nationwide Race where I won Tickets so we walked around all day and met Ben Trout, Lanette and Jim Williams (truly amazing people) then we watched qualifying where Mr Jimmie Johnson won the pole YAY then we watch the race where Kyle Busch won! On to the Night race it was amazing JJ wrecked :( but still a Great Race!! Love Bristol Motor-speedway! September comes and I enter to win tickets to Jimmie Jam and WON! Another Fantastic Night, Got to meet up with Lanette and Jim! ;) I was so Close to JJ I almost Cried!  Then Here comes LJ and Mine first Chase Race! We had a Great Time! Went to Tweet up where we met GINA Barlow and Team Hendrick Girls. LJ Got a Mark Martin Hat and I got a signed poster of JJ and Chad (I did Cry)! Then Jeff Gluck handed me my Surprise from Kristine and JJ I got a signed Car from the 5 Time Champ! (yes I cried again) and I almost got to meet Kristine! 2011 We must meet because your awesome! Then November 21st Jimmie Johnson made HISTORY 5x Champion! I know I left out a-lot but it was an unforgettable year Best Year of my 24 years! Thank you to the Beautiful people I have met and one day will meet! I thank God  for the Blessings and Opportunities  I have been given! Here is to 2011! Lets Go Racing Boys!

with the year wrapping up, I have just one request for the new year, HURRY UP DAYTONA!...I would end my blog here because really thats all that's on my mind, but I figured we needed a year of Nascar from this southern girls view so here we go :-)

This year was beyond amazing, between the friends we made at the race track, those we met through twitter, and everywhere in between it has been the best year of my life.  My goals in life before this year were : go to Bristol, meet kasey kahne, drive around a track.  (I didn't have many expectations apparently!) I have beyond exceeded these thanks to the good folks up at Bristol Motor Speedway, Miss EMILEE KATE BYERLY, and of course food city and Budweiser racing. As if meeting Kasey wasn't enough, in line he said "she may be the biggest fan, and shes definitely the prettiest" which to this point has been the greatest moment of my life (I'm not sure even my wedding day could compare to that lol!)  The Bristol race was all I dreamed and more, we had more than fun tailgating with folks we've never met before and getting to know everyone who works at Bristol.  Also, we got a chance to meet the amazing people of twitter, including lanette and jim williams, miss gina barlow, scott perrine (who put up with me in line to meet kasey bless his Yankee heart ;) ), john nelson, and so many others.  Meeting people who keep up with you, call and txt, and support me like family has been second to meeting kasey this year.  I couldn't imagine all this happening a year ago, but I'm so glad it did.  Thank you all for supporting us in this blog, and we honestly hope to meet all of you in the coming year! Feel free to share your favorite memory this race season with us, because that is what makes nascar so amazing, we are family and even in the off season we're connected :)

Who said Girls cant Drive?

EK here... Well I guess they haven't heard of Johanna Long.  Well Johanna Won the 43rd Snowball Derby earlier this December! Long is the 2nd Female to have won this race! Way to Go Girl!!! Long also made her NASCAR debut in 2010 with 7 starts in the Truck Series! She was so excited and did I mention she is only 18 years old! This girl has Big Dreams and they are coming true for her! Long said. "This is what I've dreamed of ever since I became a racer. I guess the saying is true Follow your dreams! I want to Wish her all the Luck and Blessing in the World! Keep Up the Good Work!

We're testing at Daytona International!

Hello out there good friends! Hope all of you are staying warm and safe, we're covered in ice and cold here :-(  but regardless, we're getting closer to that exciting time of the year where things thaw and we get to watching NASCAR again ! As you know, daytonas being repaved, and now that project is finished! Yesterday several drivers went and tested, and the comment was made by "this year we're all completely even, its any ones race" and we want to hear from you, who is your pick for the Daytona 500.  We don't bash here, and we aren't mean, so none of that business, but if I was picking today I'd have to throw Denny or Kevin Harvick out there first, they really have a fire burning under their butt to want to prove their new driving ability, but then again who knows.  What I do know is that this is going to be an AMAZING race come Feb!  Let us know your picks, and thanks for tuning in!  I can't wait for Daytona and seeing who gets the win on that new asphalt!

Bristol in Lights EK"s Take!

WOW WOW WOW WOW AND WOW!
Bristol's Christmas Light were AMAZING! Sure Put me in the Christmas Spirit! If you are feeling Buh Humbug I really Suggest you load of the Car and Go! It is Truly Unbelievable!!! You get to see a lot of different lights, everything from the Nativity, to the 12 days of Christmas, to dinosaurs plus much much more! I give it Two Thumbs up and a 10!!! Lindsay and Myself were like 2 kids in a candy story! Bristol is truly our Home away from home! If we could we would live there we would!!!!
So you ask what was my favorite part(s) of Bristol in Lights??? Well lets See First was seeing mine and Lindsay's awesome friend Ben Trout ( by the way he ROCKS), then driving on the track, getting to walk around in the infield laying in pit stall #1 bc Jimmie Pitted there in August and Last but not least.... THE LIGHTS!....(duh) I cant even describe them, it was wonderful! Its Great Family fun and its now a Christmas Tradition for Lindsay and I!

WE LOVE BRISTOL AND SO WILL YOU!

Also dont forget to buy your March and August Race Tickets for Bristol.....It will Change your Life

Daytona's repaved !

Hi friends!

According to NASCAR.com daytona is finished being repaved! and 5 days early! That means they're gearing up for practices, and of course the Daytona 500! I can't wait my sunday wouldve been a lot more fun today with a little NASCAR !  It wont be long, and with all the shake-ups and teams that are moving and we'll bring it al to yall and talk about it.  Speaking of NASCAR.com they have some sweet stuff for all your nascar fans for christmas, especially the new grandstands cooler.  In case you're looking for someone a cool last minute gift ;-)

WE LOVE BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY!

Speaking of christmas, another great gift for someone, season race tickets! Me and miss emilee kate have secured our bristol tickets for march and august already, and we encourage yall to do the same! the folks up at the ticket office are super nice,and we promise it'll be the best day of racing and fun you'll have! Call them up at 423BRISTOL, it is "one of the ten events to see before you die" according to car and driver magazine :)

Bristol Speedway in Lights!

Hello friends! Tonight Emilee and myself went to Bristol to enjoy a seaonal favorite of East TN,  and that is the Speedway in Lights.  It was well worth the ten dollar admission fee, ($8 if you take a coupon from food city)! It was beyond amazing, we had a wonderful time and even got to see our friend Ben Trout of BMS.  WE had a BLAST! If you're local speedway is putting on a christmas show we both advise you to take the family and go! Our highlight of the night was driving on the race track and seeing the actual steep banking and spending time together! Being on the speedway, and where the drivers are at and getting to see all of that up close is beyond cool! So this week I encourage you if you're near Bristol, def head up there or head to your local speedway, and money helps out the speedway children's chairites, how much better can it get? heres a few pictures from our trip enjoy!

Christmas with NASCAR

Howdy friends! Christmas is fast upon us, and Emilee and I are doing something amazingly fun this Thursday, and that is the Bristol Motor Speedway Speedway in Lights special for christmas.  I know charlotte motor speedway has the carolina christmas going on as well.  For less than twenty dollars a car load you can drive your car around the track, and get some good family entertainment! That in itself should be enough, but on top of giving back to the community with entertainment, many speedways also sponsor and help out the speedway children's chairities.  I know at Bristol this year they sponsored a 5K run/walk under the lights! Amazing what our nascar tracks do to give back! And if you're looking for some entertainment than look no further than your local race track! we'll have pictures to follow :-)

Emilee Kate here! Man I am a Slacker! Sorry for not blogging so much! Sorry Guys this Blog is for the Ladies! I know we all are Missing our NASCAR....I know I am! So I made a  twitter group and Facebook group called WNA which stands for Woman of Nascar Anonymous its a support group to keep in contact with other fans during the off season (ok boys you can join to lol) I didn't know that I would ever be so Passionate about a sport I don't even take part in! ! Nascar Awards

Hey Ek Here! So Sorry I haven"t been Blogging in a few days! But lets talk Nascar Sprint Cup awards! Wow everyone looked so Nice! Our Boys Clean Up really Nice! :)  It was great to see all the drivers (so ready to 2011) I love Jimmie we all know that! I am now a Fan and have so much RESPECT for Tony Stewart and Carl Edwards  I am so glad they stood up and had Jimmie's back! Jimmie Johnson is Great for the sport and history has been made! Like it or NOT Jimmie is the BEST!!  Ok Moving on! I thought the Host was Lame My Opinion! Everyone Had Great things to say and kept clean! Clint Bowyer is going to lock JJ in the Bathroom so he cant win anymore lol Sorry Clint he would still beat you from the Bathroom! Now what about Kyle Busch he was so Funny wow!  Well if you missed the awards show you missed out! I hope they Show it again! Leave me and Lindsay some Comments Love you Guys! See you soon!

80 days

Yesterday I apologize for no blog. Yesterday though wasn't a good day for a couple of drivers, mainly colin braun of the nationwide series and scott speed of the sprint cup. I feel really bad for both of them they're both getting better but its a job. Hopefully they'll find some new cars to race but this is not one of the happier blogs for those two guys and we wish them the best of luck!

KRISTINE CURLEY

EK here! I am writing about one of the Sweetest and most Giving ladies I know! Kristine Curley is Jimmie Johnson's Public Relations Representative! WOW she has truly made my first year as a Jimmie fan so unbelieveable!  Kristine goes above and beyond for Jimmie's Fans and enjoys what she does! She will Tweet and let you know whats going on! ok so I have a few short stories for you all! My first almost got to meet Kristine was when I won Jimmie Jam Tickets to Richmond wow What a trip let me give you some back ground! ok first started with the email I have got saying Congratulations You won Jimmie Jam Tickets I couldn't talk for a few minutes lol Then Second is I had to take off work (almost lost my Job) then had to make sure my sister could go and so we were both able to go and keep our jobs lol! So my sister and I rented a car left for VA drove 7 hours in the car watched Jimmie Jam and turned around and drove 7 hours back home and we didn't even get to go to the race! It was so Fantastic!!!!!  Also got to see my Lanette and Jim BIG SMILE but I was tweetin Kristine and the service was icky but i finally got in touch with her but is was already Gone! Second was in Charlotte at the Race! I went to Tweet up and she had sent a autographed Jimmie Car to me Yes I Cried like a Baby! I felt so Love by Kristine and JJ  then also the Girls from Team Hendrick gave me a signed poster of JJ and Chad Yes I cried again! Also Jeff Gluck told me to wait around and I did and I thought I was going to meet the lovely Kristine But she was with Jimmie  I did Leave her a voice mail! So Kristine I Cant wait to Meet you! You are a Super Woman! So Kristine this is for you!!!! THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART! I WILL BE FOREVER GRATEFUL! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for all you do for Me and  Jimmie's Fans! Love you Girl!

81 days to daytona

Were counting them down and the days are moving quick! EK and I are very very excited about the upcoming season, and we hope you are too! Right now it looks like we're going to have a great nascar season with some new races being added in Kentucky, and another great chase next fall.  This year the chase couldnt have been more dramatic, and we're both glad we were along for the ride. There are a lot of drivers we watched get better and better as the season carried on (especially Joey Logano and that #20 car watch out for him in 2011!) So you're thoughts we've not started the season yet so tell us who you think the next sprint cup chase champ will be?

82 days to daytona!

LJ here! 82 days times flying! Me and ek may not be blogging as frequently at christmas she works harder than anyone I known and I'm a crazy nursing student (with no excuse haha) but today I'm going to highlight redbull racing which just happens to be kasey kahne, brian vickers, and scott speed's team. This past season redbull didn't have the hendrick finishes but you want to talk about a determined team who really does have wings, this is it. They fly under the radar and have made the chase several years as well as had many poles. Recently kasey kahne took the final pole of the season at homestead, giving light to what a great year RBR will have next year! Good luck kasey, scott, and brian next season!

My Nascar Fun Fact!

Hey Everyone, EK here! Sorry I haven't been on for a few days! I hope everyone had a wonderful and Blessed Thanksgiving! I did< I wish I could have been with each and everyone of you! I hope Black Friday Treated you well and I hope you treated the Workers nice as well! I was yelled and Cussed at for Soap :( Well anyways its been a sad weekend with out Nascar! Let me Let you on a Little Secret... I use to think Nascar was STUPID and a waste of Gas lol! 2010 Was my first year as a Nascar Fan (what a BLAST) You and I can Thank HBO for Jimmie's 24/7 to Daytona! I fell in Love with Team 48 and Rick Hendrick! I love how much goes into a Race Car and how hard a team has to work! Then of course my Love for Chad Bloomed lol hahahah! I Love going to races and totally Freak out if I have to work on a Sunday! I Eat, Sleep and Breathe Nascar!  Well Now you know a little more about me! Have a great night! LOVES
